you are ready for positive change.
You are ready for positive change.
Do you believe me? Would you believe yourself if you told yourself this?
Whoever you are, wherever you are, you are ready for positive change.
Yet, I don’t see this belief in most people. I see most people at the edge of the cliff, witnessing the gorgeous, blazing sunset, witnessing the wide open valley, witnessing the vigorously rushing royal blue river, and turning around because they feel they aren’t ready, don’t deserve it, or whatever other reason.
I see most people on the precipice of positive change (which can be any moment you claim to be that moment), everything they need laid out before them like a red carpet leading to a shining, well life, and saying “nah, thanks though.”
Here is what I commonly hear from people who know they want to make a positive change:
“I need to get in shape first before I can begin training with you.”
“I need to do a quick 3-day cleanse before I start our new nutrition habits.”
“I need to spend some time in nature before I begin meditating. Maybe after I finish this big 2-week push at work and when I get back from my vacation.”
“I am too stressed out to take a deep breath.”
“I have too many responsibilities for a social life.”
“I am finishing this book by David Goggins and then I know I’ll be motivated to start (fill in that blank w/ whichever motivational book you want).”
What this conveys to me, as the coach, is hesitation, fear, and stuckness, all synonymous with comfortability in your current habits.
What this conveys to me, as the coach, is a conditional mindset, meaning you always have to change some thing before you can be ready to do the thing.
What this conveys to me, as the coach, is overwhelm, overload, and internal chaos—a lack of self-control, discipline, and direction.
I might hear these things at the end of a free consultation or at the end of a conversation where someone talks my head off with the changes they know they need to make to be healthier.
Knowing is not the problem; unexercised courage is.
You see, you cannot start any other place than exactly where you are, right now.
Whatever your childhood, relationship status, body composition, beliefs, fears, attitudes, you are ready for positive change.
Whatever your socioeconomic status, political slant, vices, quirks, you are ready for positive change.
Whatever your wardrobe, hairstyle, past training history, location, shoe collection, you are ready for positive change.
If I am striking a nerve, good.
A trigger is a gift from G-d, an arrow that points to your tucked away treasure troves for personal growth.
My sacred duty and privilege as a coach is to highlight those areas where you say “I can’t”—verbally aloud, with hints of your body language, by showing up late or missing sessions, or by running away.
Hear me again: you are ready for positive change.
You are ready for positive change.
Are you ready for positive change?
See what messages arise from your subconscious—knee-jerk reflexes, when you pose this question inward.
I dare you to write them down. Then I dare you to challenge them.
How much merit is there to those reasons to not make the positive change you deserve?
And how much might you be getting in your own way, perhaps feeling you don’t deserve the positive change being the crux of the courage “block.”
The practices in my practice: spanning breathwork, movement, meditation, mindset, nutrition, and tribe, are the way through.
In my guided personal change programs, you will be empowered with perspectives and practices to not just build a new lifestyle, but build a new you.
If positive change sounds like something you want, you deeply know you are ready for, yet have some reluctance, let’s chat and put you on your path to positive change. You do deserve it.
You are ready for positive change.
Whoever you are, wherever you are, you are ready for positive change.
Whoever you are, wherever you are, you are ready for positive change.
Whoever you are, wherever you are, you are ready for positive change.
Consider turning ‘you’ into ‘I’ and making this your mantra for the day.
